Limiting/Blocking Origin's Access To Your Computer

PostRe: Limiting EA's Origin Access To Your Computer by Apfelsator

Ehm, maybe YOU live in another germany than i do but this will explain it very well:
§ 106 Urheberrechtsgesetz

It means in english:

Every illegal copy is a not authorized copy from copyright context and is at § 106 of the copyright law from germany prohibited.
After this law someone who illegally copy a product will get term imprisonment up to three years or has to pay a suitable fine.
The try of copying is also prohibited.

And that was what i was writing, "ILLEGAL COPYING PROGRAMS" so please read first, then comment. :roll:

I am sure that they will ban your account when you using the crack and they notice it.

Yes, you have to do this for every new program you install and also for every new folder you create.

I did everything like its shown here step to step, but now when I run origin in sandbox I just can't join any bf3 server... when I run it in normal mode I join servers normally.

PostRe: Limiting EA's Origin Access To Your Computer by headsup

heyho,
tried to set up sandboxie as told here. i get a blue screen after i e.g. klick on launch game in the webbrowser. until there everything's fine, firefox is starting in the origin-sandbox etc.. after klicking it loads for a sec, then bluescreen. tried it without sandbox at all and it works, i played the sp campaign a minute just fine...

first i tried the longer version:

...(all the programs except ea related ones)...
...
ClosedFilePath=C:\ProgramData\Trymedia
ClosedFilePath=C:\ProgramData\Temp
ClosedFilePath=C:\ProgramData\Trackmania
OpenPipePath=C:\
OpenPipePath=C:\Users\"bla"\Documents\Battlefield 3
OpenPipePath=C:\Programme (x86)\Origin
OpenPipePath=C:\Programme (x86)\Origin Games
OpenPipePath=C:\Programme (x86)\Battlelog Web Plugins
OpenPipePath=C:\Users\Frank\AppData\Local\Origin
OpenPipePath=C:\Users\Frank\AppData\Roaming\Origin
OpenPipePath=C:\Programme (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

after this i tried a version without the last 4 lines:

...
ClosedFilePath=C:\ProgramData\Trackmania
OpenPipePath=C:\
OpenPipePath=C:\Users\"bla"\Documents\Battlefield 3
OpenPipePath=C:\Programme (x86)\Origin
OpenPipePath=C:\Programme (x86)\Origin Games

any idea someone?
btw...i noticed no difference between the two mentioned until the crashes

PostRe: Limiting EA's Origin Access To Your Computer by Apfelsator

Hm, wait, i will have a look....maybe you can send me your .ini?

Ok, it seems like i forgot something, i only tried to play the campagne and this works.
When i try to connect to a server a got a runtime error. strange.

And, of course, the great windows shows a small window where you even can't see which program has the problem, just:
"Program: P:\G...

R6030
-CRT not initialized"
Great :roll:

EDIT:
Not sure if it is for you the same but i changed the settings of the restrictions for firefox(or your webbrowser) so the begin of the configuration line for the origins box in the .ini now looks like this:
[Origin]

Enabled=y
ConfigLevel=7
AutoRecover=y
Template=Firefox_Cookies_DirectAccess
Template=Firefox_Profile_DirectAccess
Template=BlockPorts
Template=LingerPrograms
Template=Firefox_Phishing_DirectAccess
Template=AutoRecoverIgnore
RecoverFolder=%{374DE290-123F-4565-9164-39C4925E467B}%
RecoverFolder=%Personal%
RecoverFolder=%Desktop%
BorderColor=#00FFFF,ttl

Maybe Jasperman knows where the issue lies?
I thought about it is again the communication between the browser and origins.

But with this config, i actually was in the game on different servers and it worked.

I changed just the restrictions for direct access in applications->Web-Browser->Firefox and there i set a + in the boxes for direct access to firefox cookies, firefox phishing and firefox profil folder.

ProcessMonitor also shows me that origins was gaining access to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ while i was on the servers.

Maybe i have an idea why you get the bluescreen.
Does the sandbox have actually access to your graphic drivers folder?
My sandbox has it, maybe this is the problem? Just an idea.

Can You Supply me with the error from the blue screen? is it during launch of the actual game (i.e. the game loading screen actually appears? you say it loads for a sec...)

@Apfelsator

R6030
-CRT not initialized"
