Limiting/Blocking Origin's Access To Your Computer

PostRe: Limiting/Blocking Origin's Access To Your Computer by Jasperman

there may be various folders on the C drive that your system will need access to to run the game (drivers for example) But yes you could name the specific folders like that (drivers change from pc to pc so its easier to do it the other way when making a guid to suit all)

I just downloaded Origin because you have to use it if you want to play the Mass Effect 3 demo (and the full game) and because I'm paranoid I wanted to run it in a sandbox. Because I have never done this before I watched a video on youtube and pasted the following in the configuration file:

OpenFilePath=C:\
OpenFilePath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\
OpenFilePath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\
OpenFilePath=C:\Users\Username\Documents\Mass Effect 3 demo\
OpenFilePath=C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Origin
OpenFilePath=C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Origin
ClosedFilePath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\IGO32.dll

Will this do or do I need to follow the instructions in your original post?

Looks Good, last one is a file rather than a directory and i dont think you should be limiting origin from its own .dll file... if it doest work have a read down through my first post

I have played the demo a couple of times now (trying different classes) and I haven't had any problems.
I wondered about the .dll file too and after looking around it seems that by blocking this file 64-bit users stop having random crashes.

big question - your tut worked fine for me since release, but today i loaded the new origin patch - without sandboxie like i ever do - and afterwards i tried your tutorial to get back pings in chrome.
I've done all reg entries and the " OpenWinClass=*" in sandboxie.
Afterwards i wasnt able to start the game in sandboxie, so i reversed all things and replaced sandboxie ini with this one:

but i'm still not able to play battlefield 3 when i start origin and chromme in sandboxie
- i restarted my PC, reload configuration in sandboxie, but nothing helps....
chrome looks like ever in the taskbar with [#]SITE [#], but these " [#] " are not around origin - in sandboxie origin.exe is listed

Is this the new patch, or did i fu** things up?
thanks for your help ;-)
