FRAPS & ASUS Audio

PostFRAPS & ASUS Audio by Tirielis

I believe I'm not the only one here having problems recording game sounds with Fraps while using ASUS Xonar sound cards.

I have found 2 links that give resolutions so am going to give them a go later.

This one suggests there are changes you can make in the Xonar App in the system tray which will then enable you to record sound.

This one suggest that if you run origin as admin all sound will then be recorded.

As i dont like origin at the best of times ... i think i will try the Xonar App first rather than give it free rein over my system.

So, the first one did it.

Go into the Xonar Audio Center and turn off GX ... Fraps now records fine.
