Harry Potter :geek:

Karin Slaughter and others, same sort of books: detective-thriller books i mean...
The (3) books i really would like to recommend are the Millenium books from Stieg Larsson... fantastic!!

just finishing up blue mars by Kim Stanley Robinson,

read Morlock Night by KW Jeter in a day, I still have "The Infernal Machine" to read as well.

other than that I seldom read, Nic's trying to get me into better habits but it has always taken something special for me to pick up and read

PostRe: Them Out of date things made of trees? by Nickers

loads :D

In the last few weeks i've read in no particular order

Dracula by Bram Stoker (for the first time)
Little Fuzzy by H Beam Piper (for the first time)
Anno Dracula by the fab Kim Newman (Jonny if you read WH Fantasy you'd be familar with his work under a pen name... Jack something.. brain failure)
American Gods by Neil Gaiman (again)
Green Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson (again)
and I'm just starting The Time Machine by H. G. Wells (again)

mostly of a sci-fi\fantasy not to scary horror bent tbh although I do like a good crime thriller of a non-Dan Brown variety. I tend to avoid Chick Lit like the plague (just thinking about it makes me come out in hives) although if someone I trust recommends a book I will give it a go...

fav authors include

Terry Prattchet
Robin Hobb
Kim Stanley Robinson
Steve Baxter
Ben Bova

Fav series include
Sten
the tower and the hive
black magicians trilogy
I have been a nerd since long before I could have heard
That bookish girls should look and act a certain way
And I'll still be a geek when I am utterly antique

Surface Detail - Iain banks

Towers of Midnight - Robert Jordan
